| Stevens and AXL steels and
extension nuts back in stock! |
| Good news! The local agent for the AXL and Stevens
steels and extension nuts informed me today that he has received his stocks much sooner
than expected, so I've just picked up some of each. We're back in the game! |

| Rocky Mountain Slides |
| The Rocky Mountain Slides exercise
was educational, and the first order sold well enough to make placing a
second order worthwhile. I'll be ordering more of the Rock-It and Poncha
Bullet bars as well as the Swamp Frog medicine bottle slides as soon as
funds become available. I still have a few slides listed on eBay at discounted
prices, so if you're interested please see those listings here. |

| Mahogany |
| My timber supplier increased
their minimum invoice value earlier in the year, so I had to save up my
pennies to meet their requirements. For those of you who've been patiently
waiting for instruments your necks and bodies are probably coming from
the mahogany in the photo! And yes, I'm still months behind with orders. |

| Website |
| I'm planning to rationalise my
website. Part of the challenge of offering custom instruments is the time
spent discussing specifications and negotiating prices, often for no return
at all, but even if the order is forthcoming it's followed by the dread
of actually building the thing! Successful makers like Steve Ryder, Kevin
Schwabb, Jonathan Mann, Joel Eckhaus and even Risa Music offer a standard
range of instruments and upgrades at realistic prices. I still won't
be asking as much as they do, but if I'm going to keep playing this often fun but sometimes frustrating
game I have to work smarter. |

| "Build Your Own Stomper" eBooks |
| For some time now I've been making
my Stompers. I've spent some time taking photos and documenting the processes
involved with making these fun little beasts, and I'm planning to have
a "Build Your Own Stomper" eBook ready soon. I hope to follow this up with
eBooks on building lap steel instruments, electric mandos, ukes and tenor
guitars. |

| My name is Rob Dick, and I’m Jupiter
Creek music. I’m a small volume home based maker of solidbody electric
mandolin and ukulele family instruments, tenor guitars, lap steel guitars,
octave guitars, bouzoukis, six string guitars, the dulcimer derived "Strummer
From Downunder", and the "Stomper" electric percussion effect. My aim is
to build good sounding affordable instruments and effects. I also keep
stocks of slides, tonebars, extension nuts and some spare parts, all available
in my Online Store.
If can't forgive the odd sanding mark
or scratch, or the lustre of a hand sprayed finish, then please don't buy
a hand-made Jupiter Creek Music instrument. These minor blemishes and imperfections
are your guarantee that this instrument was built in my home workshop in
suburban South Australia. Choosing an instrument by Jupiter Creek Music
gives you something different. A unique instrument made with care by one
person for another, giving satisfaction to the maker and pride of exclusive
ownership to the player.
All instruments by Jupiter Creek Music
are hand-made from Australasian timbers such as Jarrah, Tasmanian blackwood,
Australian oak, Fijian mahogany, Hoop pine, Queensland maple, Queensland
silver ash, Ironwood, Queensland blackwood, Brigalow and Sheoak, complemented
by hardware, strings, frets and pickups from makers such as Gotoh, Wilkinson,
Martin/Darco, Jim Dunlop, Stewmac, EMG, WSC, and GFS.
